How it works

Have a brainstorm meeting and identify possible project scope.

Receive a script, read it, add notes, help usher it along to its final version.

Then… script breakdowns, location scouting and sourcing, crew acquisition, gear collection, casting calls, auditions, client communication, production meetings, call sheets, food and crafty organizing, being the last one off a wrapped set, ensuring data safety and backup.

Write project briefs for editors, animators, composers, sound effect and color artists, reviewing every rough/fine/final/finalv2/finalnoreallyFINAL_/master copy, capturing and prioritizing change requests in review cycles, ensuring asset handoff, collecting/process invoices and W9’s.

Take another brainstorm meeting and do it all over again, and maybe run a few simultaneously.

Any media you can think of, I know how to make.

Podcasts, videos, stills, activations, live events… it all starts with understanding the idea, breaking down the requirements, and organizing a team to handle the tasks – all while communicating status, roadblocks, and next steps with each other. Delegation is crucial to the success of a producer, in addition to having good managerial skills to guide the team forward to deliver on time. Industry best practices and knowledge of the current technology are an absolute must.
